Mite Squirt Summer Camp
Mite Summer Skills Camp focuses on skill development, speed, quickness and compete! Power skating, edges, stopping, crossovers, pivots and backwards skating techniques. Puck skills including turns, board skills, fakes, skill combinations, full speed puck control and more!
Ages
5-10 years old. Players are broken into small groups based on age, ability and experience.

Because of the Jr Trevian golf outing, we are forced to use only one ice surface on 7/27 due to staff shortage.

Important points
- Power skating instruction every day!
- Extra emphasis on: crossovers, stopping, pivots, acceleration and backwards skating.
- Innovative skating and edge drills to provide the 'feel' for doing a movement correctly, designed for the younger player!
- Acceleration, overspeed and quickness training.
- Heads up puck control, fakes, tight turns and puck protection.
- 1 v 1 battle techniques, stick lifts, puck control on boards.
Camp Format:
- 2 hours total (possible10 minute ice make in middle for short break).
- Small group instruction.
- Use of continuous motion 'assembly line' drills.
- Skill techniques designed for younger skaters.
- Decades of success developing great players!
