Bill was also a columnist for the Hockey Stop and has taught at the Triple S, Turcotte Stickhandling, Blackhawks Hockey Schools and his own Bill Martin Power Skating hockey camps. Former players Bill has helped develop include: Jed Ortmeyer (NY Rangers), Fred Knipscheer (Boston Bruins), Matt Jones (Arizona Coyotes), Brandon Sutter (Vancouver Canucks), JT Compher (Colorado Avalanche) along with numerous AAA, college and pro players

Coach Martin has been coaching for 35+ years (5th with Wilmette Jr Trevians). Bill grew up playing his youth hockey in Oak Park, and then for the Fenwick High School team where he became the head coach a couple years later. He has a strong track record of helping struggling programs improve, especially with skill training and developing mite programs.

My two Sons learned power skating from Bill, at an early age. One played through HS, the other 4 yrs of college. Both compliment Bill's instruction as vital.

Bill, taught my two sons the key to power and speed with his power skating seminars. One played through HS and the other through 4 yrs of college. For my oldest who played at 105 lbs his freshman year speed... to escape... was essential! Thanks Bill

Played under Coach Bill Martin at Robert Morris University and had one of the best seasons I've ever had in hockey. Not only does he challenge each player to elevate their game, but he does it while having fun and imparting some old school hockey wisdom on you as you go. I learned things under Coach Bill that I still use on the ice today as a player, and took them with me to pass on to my players as I started coaching in the ACHA. We were a good team under Bill that year, won a lot of games, and had a blast doing it. You cannot go wrong with coaching from this guy. He's great!
